15+ kilometers of groomed trails for cross country skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing, and sledding. Scotts Cobble was opened in 2022 with the goal of reacquainting local communities with the culture of Nordic skiing. Operated by High Peaks Cyclery in partnership with the town of North Elba.
TRAIL CONDITIONS UPDATE
Wednesday 2/4/26
Conditions today will be fantastic, with about 1–2 inches of fresh, light snow currently falling. Everything has been groomed within the last 48 hours, and classic track is set on many trails. Expect light snow on top of frozen granular and packed powder, all on a great base.
The café will be closed today, but the pro shop will be open.
Quick housekeeping:
-Please remember to sign in at the pro shop when it’s open. Even if you’re a resident, we rely on sign-ins to track trail usage, where visitors are coming from, and how we can continue to improve your Scotts Cobble experience.
-Additionally, please use caution when driving to the lodge. Snowbanks have been piled up and may block visibility, especially around the corners.
-There will be a high school race Thursday afternoon, so please expect increased traffic on the trails and possible trail closures. More details to come.
-Worried about the cold? Don’t fear—our pro shop has everything you need to stay warm, including Skida hats, buffs, gloves, layers, hand warmers, and more. In addition, the main shop in town is offering 25% off all men’s and women’s outerwear. Go check out what’s available and gear up for a great day!
For the most up-to-date conditions, please call the Pro Shop or the main HPC store.
